In February 1989, Ingeser de Colombia S.A., a company dedicated to the construction, installation and oil services in the center zone of Santander, spinned out is construction division. All the equipment and know-how went a new and completely independent company named Ingeser Construcciones.

That same year, In April 1989, the society was reformed and the strategic direction of the Company was taken on by Alvaro Esobar Saavedra, a mechanical engineer, known for his brilliant career in the oil industry. Ismocol de Colombia S.A. started as a Company dedicated to offer services in fields such as: engineering, assembling and construction of oil and gas pipelines and other facilities.  Its social commitment, its environmental responsibility, its operative excellence and the magnitude of the projects Ismocol has participated in, has made the Company consolidate as a leader in its activities within the national market.
